    Information and unethical business practices

    With all the media reports on ethical business practices it is important to remember that the information that businesses use to make decisions is very important. Information needs to be up-to-date, accurate and authoritative. If it isn’t – it can lead to unethical business practices.

    An example of this is when banks have been on-boarding new business clients and not undertaking any background checks on those businesses to ascertain if the people running those businesses are “ethical”. What this leads to is questionable business practices.

    So businesses need to use authoritative information sources to ensure that their business practices are ethical.
